At the point where tension T=0 and angle from vertical is 60° (i.e., 30° from horizontal):
T+mgcos60°=ℓmV2
Since T=0:
V2=2gℓ
Using mechanical energy conservation from bottom (A) to the point where T=0:
21mu2=mg(ℓ+ℓcos60°)+21mV2
u2=2gℓ(1+21)+2gℓ=3gℓ+2gℓ=27gℓ
u=27gℓ
