Solution
From V=5sin(100t), angular frequency ω=100 rad/s
At resonance in LCR circuit: XL=XC, so ωL=ωC1
Maximum current occurs at resonance: Imax=RVrms
50×10−3=1005/2 (verified at resonance)
From resonance condition: 100×2=100×C1
200=100C1
C=200001=5×10−5 F = 50 μF
